Zoey's Love Affair With Funfair

Zoey loves funfairs.  She used to call them 'the red lights' - because those are among the bright-coloured lights seen from funfairs.  This time around, the sisters didn't want to accompany her.  So, it's me and Papa and Zoey.

The moon was full that night.

She's super excited.

She was allowed to look but not play because it involved gambling.

She also wasn't allowed to play this.  She understood it.

 She's allowed to ride rides.

She wanted to ride alone.  So, we let her.  The ridekeeper asked her to join a lady and her baby to balance the car.

The moon was still beautiful, peeking between the steel bars.

The Ferris Wheel - or the Giant Wheel - stood majestically tall.

I guess she was enjoying herself but was very composed about it because she was riding with a stranger.

She was busy looking everywhere but here.

Happy and contented.

This ride, next to the Ferris Wheel was too fast for Zoey.  So, we passed this one.

The ride was called The Orbiter.  I guess it was orbiting something. Ha ha ha...

Next was the train ride.

She rode the train alone.  No other children were aboard.

After the train ride, she wandered off to a flying ship and patiently waiting for her turn.

It's her turn now.  Papa was sitting in the background.

Settling down in her seat.

And flying away to the sky!

While waiting for her, I wandered off to other rides.

Next on the list was the carousel.

They looked all dangling and tangling up.

The carousel started to move.

Weeeeee.....
There were only two other children riding the carousel and her.

This ride was next to the carousel but it, too, was too fast for Zoey.
(And the moon was still beautiful.)

Waiting for the carousel to stop.  She seemed tired there. Hee hee hee..

A little girl crying to ride the train but refused by the parents.

A treat of home-made ice-cream for her to end the night.

I hoped she enjoyed herself, as usual.  The simple funfair is still her favourite.  She has a special love affair with funfair.

I hope you remember this in years to come.
