Indigenous Crafts - Malaysia vs Canada

When we visited the Art Museum, this special exhibition was on.  I think the differences between the two cultures were within thin lines.  Both have very similar kinds of crafts albeit different materials used.

Baskets
Top: Canada
Bottom: Malaysia

Food covers
Top: Canada
Bottom: Malaysia

Beads
Top: Canada
Bottom: Malaysia

Scarves
Top: Canada
Bottom: Malaysia

Small baskets
Top: Canada
Bottom: I'm not sure whether these are from Canada or Malaysia

Arts on wood
Top: Canada - these were quite small in size. They looked like the envelope openers
Bottom: Malaysia- this was actually a hand shield used by warriors and the size was quite big.

Aren't they interesting? Two different indigenous groups from two different continents (and quite far away from each other actually) have very similar culture. Now I'm not going to say a lot about this because I'm no expert but let the pictures speak for themselves.

I only have one thing to say - Amazing!
