Dear Children

Dear children,

In life,
you'll do so many things that are greater than what we have done,
go places we've never been to,
meet people far better and wiser than we are or we'll ever be,
experience pleasures indescribable with words,
dream dreams that are worth pursuing,
experience satisfactions with surprisingly simple things,
become somebody who'll leave marks in people's lives.

In life too,
you'll do mistakes people will never understand,
go astray in your way to come back to the right path wiser,
cheat and be cheated on and learn about trust,
feel crushed with disappointments,
be greedy for more worldly possessions,
become small and feel unimportant after a fall.

But carry on with your life.
Hold your head up high.
Have pride in what you have and can do.
Treasure your skills.
Use your knowledge.
Change people's lives.
Touch their hearts.
Feel their emotions.
Make your existence worthwhile.

And remember,
we love you just the same.
