We went through the Bandar Muadzam-Segamat route. Oil palm plantations all the way there and not enough room to overtake the front vehicle. Midway, we passed the mystical Gunung Ledang National Park, much to our delight.
So, naturally, we had to stop there. They had some sort of resort there.
Proof that we've been here. There were also some food stalls and waterfalls there but we didn't dress for the occasion.
This was the Muar town. This part of the town was facing the river.
This row was at the back. We went round these rows a few times before we spotted the shop we wanted to go and eat Mee Bandung.
They didn't want to eat Mee Bandung and opted for satay instead.
The famous Mee Bandung! The gravy was very thick and tasty but too tasty for me in the sense that the gravy had a strong taste of dried shrimps, making my nose itched - sinus attack. But I'd still recommend friends to go there and have a taste.
Then we ventured the town and found this area, displaying an old locomitive.
Nobody was interested in the locomotive but us. I guessed they're locals.
Further up we found the playground, perfect for Meen.
Perfect also for anak-anak dara ni.
A walkway near the riverbanks. Decorated with mosaic designs. Unique and cool!
The weather was cooperating too. So we're able to just enjoy the place and the riverview.
She's very cooperating that day and didn't run here and there. So I was able to snap a picture of her.
A perfect place to relax.
Perfect also to absorb everything around.
A blue castle was seen on the other side of the river.
Strolling
River cruise which we passed. Next time, maybe.
Needed to rest after walking.
Shinigami Ryuk. hehehe...
2 shinigamis were present
And then they saw this!
A natural attraction.
It was a hot day! (Okay! Okay! This just needed justification. And 'a hot day' would be a perfect excuse!)
And that's how we knew the place was called Dataran Tanjung Emas.
Surveying the perfect spot to take pictures.
Listening attentively to Papa's instructions. Heh heh heh
And he's the one being snapped.
It's time to move on to another area. Papa duck and the ducklings.
I don't think those were real logs or tree trunks.
And we drove to the opposite riverbank to this palace of some sort. The gate was opened and we entered the compound. No one was guarding it.
It's huge!
And unoccupied.
(Reminder: to look up this palace's history)
Note: this is a masjid.

As of right now I'm wondering why we didn't venture inside when we were there.
The building and the setting were romantic. Macam cerita hindustan pulak.
And we couldn't get enough of it.
Muar is underrated. I'm sure there are more to be explored other than the famous Mee Bandung.
