She chose this outfit herself. The color for this year was grey for us ladies. For Papa and Tareeq, they're wearing last year's Baju Melayu.
We went to the masjid early - about 8.00am. Not many people were there yet. So we got to choose the perfect spot - near the wall.
People started filling the masjid but it's still early.
By 9.00am Zoey was restless and she's tired of waiting. She also felt a bit suffocated due to her thick shawl. So I removed it and she's still not happy because it's already almost an hour and she couldn't move here and there.
After the prayer, she decided not to wear the hijab anymore. The prayer finished around 10.00am. We got back and ate lots of Ketupat and Lemang. We're also waiting for Pak Chaq to arrive to go to Tok Ngah's house, as usual.
At Tok Ngah's, our favourite dish is always the Beef Curry eaten with ketupat. Simply marvellous! Zoey and Nukman went out to get some rambutans from the tree.
Their usual corner - with Rosman, my cousin.
This time Nukman accompanied Tok Wan at the corner.
Eating at Tok Ngah's is a never ending activity.
I had to stop eating. So, I took them outside.
To the paddy field behind Tok Ngah's house.
Left behind because she was busy playing.
The vast paddy field in the background.
And one with the kampong as the background.
Not yet ready to be harvested but good enough to be turned into emping - a dish using rolled young rice grains.
Then Tareeq and Nukman joined us.
Complete!
Standing L-R: Nurul Nadhirah, Nurul Nadiah, Tareeq holding Zoey's feet, Nukman
Squatting L-R: Taqreesa, Tareena, Nurul Nailah
On the way back to the house, they found the chicken coop.
After Spending the Eid at Tok Ngah's we proceeded to Seberang Perai to Papa's aunt's house. The trip took about 1 hr plus and everybody was sleepy and sleeping in the car. Zoey continued sleeping in the masjid where we stopped for the Asar prayer.
We arrived at Tok Su's house. This was the only Raya picture of me and Papa. Huhu...
Zoey was busy picking rambutans outside.
I enjoyed it too!
That night we went to Aunty Munirah's parents' house in Taman Golf.
Nina's favourite boy - Aunty Mun's Hazim.
A group picture before going home.
It was a fun day from that morning onwards. We got to meet families and friends too! And I just love the travel - going here and there. Aaaannnnd... loads of food to eat!
