Trip To The Beaches In 1 Day! - Part 6

Meen was restless.  We couldn't stop anywhere because of the weather. And she was angry she couldn't enjoy the sea and the beach at all.  So, we had to make her feel happy.

We drove into this bay, (I think it's called Kampung Tengah, Kerteh), with small wooden houses built on stilts and lots of fishing equipment outside.  There were also many small coffee stalls with a few men, I think they're fishermen, idling time away.  It's the monsoon and they couldn't go out to the sea.

This was the river mouth.  The waves came crashing in but the water in the river was surprisingly calm.

Overlooking the fishing village.

This was how Meen could be easily amused and entertained.

Let her loose for a few minutes and all is well with her.

And so I took this opportunity to take pictures of the beach and sea here.  The sea was still rough.

Since you guys didn't want to join me and preferred the car instead, I took my time. Padan muka. Hangat la dok dalam keta tu.

There were also a few other people in the area. One person was also taking pictures of the view there, one pakcik was relaxing and taking his time with nature and there's us.

The clouds and the hilly area in the horizon were probably near or over the Dungun town.

The water was muddy - everywhere we stopped.

One more picture of the river mouth.

I wonder what happened to the people living here during the recent flood.  The houses were on grounds lower than the road itself. Of course the road may be a buffer from floods.  I hope they're mending their lives back to normal.

Learn to appreciate how people's difficulties help made our lives easier.  Don't forget that, dear children. And Meen was calm again and we're able to continue our journey.

Trip To The Beaches In 1 Day! - Part 5

After a few minutes of stopping and snapping at Paka, we came upon this area.  It's not on any map actually.  We just happened to see the signpost while driving through a thick mangrove-laden area.

Oh well, you're always ready to step in front of me.

This was an old pier we stumbled near Resort World Hotel.
Tengok tuuu... ombak melambung-lambung!

It was used by the Star Cruise fleets and now abandoned.

We were a few hundred meters away from the shore.

It was fun. But now that I think of it, it's actually not a good idea to bring you guys there.

Because of the weather and the sea.

Ombak bergulung-gulung dan saling berhentam.

There were many people fishing there. And there were schools of fish that we could see on the water surface.

And we continued walking towards the end of the pier.

Adoi! Mama couldn't catch-up with you guys. By this time, my knees were already troubling me.

So I had to walk slowly and took my time.

The same picture with effects on. Hehehe...

And decided to enjoy the moment right here.
Lutut still berdenyut-denyut. Tapi jalan-jalan punya pasal, mana boleh biaq.

Slowly, sampai jugak Mama kat situ.

Mula-mula tengok ombak.

Lepas tu tengok ikan pulak.

On the horizon, it was pouring.

Memang depa ni berani lah!

The rain was approaching.

And they just couldn't be bothered.

I guess they're used to it.

Di kiri

Dan kanan

And they got closer.

It's time to head back.

Jalan cepat sikit!
(And I was still back here)

Look at the trees!  The wind WAS strong!

Patah balik pulaaaaakkk...

Meen pun nak jugak.

An so it's compulsory to take her picture.

Berdikit barat.

Aik! Gambag Mama tak dak? How did we miss my picture?

Please let's not go back there during the monsoon.  It's very dangerous actually.  Stupid and ignorant!
